Effects of repeated sprint training in young elite male soccer players

The authors of the study „The effect of 40-m repeated sprint training on maximum sprinting speed, repeated sprint speed endurance, vertical jump, and aerobic capacity in young elite male soccer players“ (Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research. Volume 25, Issue 9, Pages 2364-70) confirmed the effects of sprint training on a variety of factors. Therefore sprint training should be incorporated in the precompetition phase. This article gives some interesting training advices for young soccer players and their coaches.
